DAVAO CITY — At total of 438 child development workers in Davao Oriental received performance cash incentives from the provincial government amounting to P2.7 million, according to provincial information officer Karen Lou Deloso.

Deloso said that the CDWs each received P5,000 during the awarding ceremony on 9 December in Mati City and apart from the performance incentive, loyalty awards amounting to P5,000 each were also handed out to 45 CDWs who reached 15 years in service and an additional P1,500 for qualified CDWs per five succeeding years, covering their 20th, 25th and 30th continuous service.

"Seven retiree CDWs also received cash incentive award amounting to P15,000 each while each local government unit's Early Childhood Care and Development focal person were given PHP3,000 each," Deloso said.

During the event, the CDWs and LGU representatives presented their accomplishment reports for the year as well as activities for the welfare and development of children, including capacitating the involvement of the parents.
