BAGUIO CITY — Authorities disclosed that one of the suspects pointed to a village chief in Boliney, Abra as the mastermind of the fatal shooting of an Abra teacher the past week.
To recall, the Abra police collared the suspects identified as Sonny Boy Gandeza Tullas, Abelardo Talape, Aldrin Alagao and Rommel Paa for the killing of Rudy Steward Dugmam Sayen, also known as "Estee Saway," following a hot pursuit operation hours after the crime was committed on 28 September.
The gunmen were traced with the help of a CCTV footage that captured the incident.
Police has also identified that Paa was the one who pulled the trigger. All four also admitted that they were offered by the mastermind P100,000 to carry-out the crime.
After further investigations, authorities said that one of the suspects named Boliney village chief Armando Wilson, a resident of Dumagas, Boliney, as the mastermind behind the shooting.
It was also discovered that the village chief is a relative of the victim, and Sayen's mother said that she was shocked with the revelation.
