About 30 families lost their homes when a fire hit a residential area along Judge Jimenez Street in Kamuning, Quezon City on Monday.
According to Fire Senior Inspector Jose Felipe Arreza of the Quezon City Bureau of Fire Protection Station 4, the fire broke out about 20 minutes past midnight on the second floor of the house of one Allan Bernardino.
The fire quickly spread to 10 more houses that were made of light materials, according to Arreza.
The amount of structural damage from the fire was estimated at P200,000. Fire out was declared by 1:40 a.m.
No one was reported killed in the fire. The victims will temporarily stay at the senior citizens' building of Barangay Kamuning.
