A known neighborhood "Batang City Jail" toughie died after he was shot three times in the body by a still unknown gunman Thursday morning on the corner of Barcelona St., and Moriones Street, Tondo Manila.
Police/EMS Richard Escarlan,investigator of Manila Police District-homicide section, identified the victim as Roel Solo,28,alias Badjao a resident of a #2 Bo.Magsaysay,Sampaloc Street, Tondo, Maynila.
Investigation revealed that the incident occurred at 4:45 am at said place.
Kagawad Teofilo Martinez, of Barangay 69 Zone 6, said he has on his way to the barangay office when he heard three gunshots.
Afraid that he might get into trouble, Martinez chose not to go out of his house so he called up barangay tanod Ronald Cuyugan to escort him and find out what the gunshots were all about and where it came from.
They saw the victim laying lifeless on the ground and bloodied.

The body was brought to the Cruz Funeral for autopsy and safekeeping.
