Alain Gabriel Alzona, Bern Zaragoza and Iñigo Anton emerged as season champions of the 2026 Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup, which concluded its fourth and final race weekend on 24 October at Clark International Speedway in Mabalacat, Pampanga.

The season finale also saw Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) introduce the GR86 one-make race car to spectators ahead of its entry into the championship next year.

Alzona of Toyota General Santos–Davao Racing secured the Super Sporting Class title after a strong final weekend that included victories in Sprint Races 10 and 11. He finished third in Sprint Race 12, which was won by Maila Alivia of Toyota Isabela–Edgesport Racing.

Red Diwa of Toyota Isabela finished second in the overall standings, followed by Joaquin Garrido of Obengers Racing.

The competition was particularly fierce in the penultimate sprint race, where Garrido took the early lead from second on the grid. Contact between his car and Diwa’s sent the latter onto the grass, although Diwa managed to recover and continue the race. Garrido later encountered trouble and had to return to the pits.

In the Sporting Class, Zaragoza of Resultado Racing secured the season championship ahead of Mike Santos of R Racing and Joshua David Marquez of Obengers Racing.

Zaragoza won Sprint Races 10 and 12 during the final weekend, while Marquez claimed Sprint Race 11. The results gave Zaragoza the points he needed to finish the season on top.

The inaugural Tamaraw Class produced another championship winner in Anton of Obengers Racing, who secured the title ahead of Oliver Aquino of Toyota Bicutan Racing Team and Raymond Cudala of R Racing.

Anton won Sprint Races 10 and 12, while Aquino took victory in Sprint Race 11.

One of the Tamaraw races also produced a late change in the results. Cudala lost his lead after he went off course at a corner during a battle with Aquino on the final lap. David Enzo Ison crossed the finish line first but received a time penalty for exceeding track limits, which dropped him to third.

The Legacy Class, meanwhile, saw Paolo Ang of Madkart–R Racing win both Sprint Races 7 and 8 during the championship’s final weekend.

Toyota Isabela–Resultado took the overall team championship, followed by Toyota San Fernando–Gen San and Obengers Racing.

Beyond the season awards, Toyota used the event to give fans a preview of its 2027 racing program. The GR86 one-make race car made its first public track appearance, ahead of the introduction of a third vehicle category in the series.

TMP president Masando Hashimoto confirmed that the GR86 will join the existing Vios and Tamaraw racing classes next season.
