Returning OFWs from Riyadh receive medical, financial aid

Forty-five overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and five dependents arrived safely in the Philippines from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia last Thursday as part of ongoing government voluntary repatriation efforts amid rising tensions in the Middle East.
The group landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 aboard Gulf Air flight GF154 under an operation spearheaded by the Department of Migrant Workers in coordination with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration.
The latest arrival brings the total number of repatriated workers and dependents to 512 since voluntary evacuation operations intensified 19 October.
Following directives from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. under the government’s Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, Transport initiative, returning workers received immediate medical screening, cash assistance, food, and arranged transportation to their home provinces.
