SoftwareOne, Crayon merge APAC channel operations

SoftwareOne and Crayon have completed the integration of their channel businesses across Asia-Pacific (APAC) under the SoftwareOne brand, expanding their services and technical capabilities for technology partners.
The consolidation combines the companies’ expertise in software, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data, artificial intelligence and managed services.
SoftwareOne said the integration would allow resellers and technology partners to access a broader range of specialist services while retaining ownership of their customer relationships.
“This is an important step in bringing together two strong channel businesses with complementary strengths,” said SoftwareOne APAC president Varun Paliwal.
“Crayon and SoftwareOne have both built strong partner relationships and deep technology capabilities across the region,” he added.
Under the arrangement, partners can access solution architects, security specialists, technical support and advisory services without establishing those capabilities internally.
The combined business will also provide assistance with software licensing, cloud management, implementation and customer projects.
The move comes as businesses across Asia-Pacific increase investments in digital infrastructure and emerging technologies.
Citing IDC projections, SoftwareOne said regional information and communications technology spending could reach $647 billion in 2026.
The company also expects growing demand for expertise as enterprises move from experimenting with artificial intelligence to deploying it across business operations.
SoftwareOne said its services could be delivered directly, collaboratively or under a partner’s brand.
Its Cloud-iQ platform will help partners manage software subscriptions, automate billing and monitor cloud usage.
The company operates in more than 70 countries, employing approximately 12,000 people and maintaining relationships with more than 7,500 software vendors.
SoftwareOne APAC head of Channel Vikas Bhonsle said the integration would create additional opportunities for resellers and technology providers.
“If our partners are able to grow, win new opportunities and deliver more value to their customers, then the combination is doing what we intended it to do,” Bhonsle said.
