Hitachi Vantara reported a 32 percent year-on-year increase in Asia-Pacific revenue in the first quarter of fiscal 2026, driven by stronger demand for enterprise storage and AI-ready infrastructure.
Product revenue across Hitachi Vantara and third-party offerings rose 52 percent, while the company’s storage revenue jumped 61 percent.
Its APAC block storage portfolio grew 58 percent, including a 48 percent increase in high-end storage and 65 percent growth in midrange products.
Growth was led by Korea, where revenue surged 185 percent, followed by mainland China at 112 percent. Australia and New Zealand posted 30 percent growth, while ASEAN, including Singapore, rose 22 percent.
Hitachi Vantara attributed the gains to demand for its Virtual Storage Platform One portfolio as companies modernize infrastructure, strengthen cyber resilience and prepare data systems for artificial intelligence workloads.
“The momentum we’re seeing across Asia Pacific reflects a common challenge facing organizations today: how to modernize critical infrastructure while preparing for an AI-driven future,” Hitachi Vantara Asia-Pacific vice president and general manager Wendy Koh said.
The company said VSP One combines block, file and object data management in a unified platform designed to reduce complexity and support mission-critical and AI workloads.
Hitachi Vantara cited IDC data showing global external enterprise storage system revenue grew 22.7 percent year on year in the first quarter of 2026, fueled partly by AI infrastructure demand.
