Unbeaten Jose Rizal University (JRU) and the streaking University of Perpetual Help System Dalta will collide in the final crossover match of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 102 juniors basketball tournament at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan on Tuesday.

The Light Bombers will put their 8-0 record on the line against the Junior Altas, who have won seven straight games, when they clash at noon.

JRU is coming off a narrow 62-61 victory over defending champions Letran College last Friday, while Perpetual extended its winning streak with a 62-60 triumph over Mapua University on the same day.

Despite the Junior Altas’ strong run, head coach Joph Cleopas stressed that his team still has plenty of work ahead.

“There is nothing to celebrate yet. There is still a long way to go. We need to keep working — working and working even harder — and stay focused,” Cleopas said.

Perpetual will lean on leading scorer Louie Rosales, who erupted for 22 points against Mapua, and Sizco Roquid, who added 14.

JRU, meanwhile, will bank on its defense and teamwork, with Lorenz Cinco leading the way after scoring 20 points against Letran.
