Duterte maintains 'much trust' lead over Marcos — SWS

Vice President Sara Duterte maintained a higher trust rating than President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. despite facing an ongoing impeachment trial, according to a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey commissioned by Stratbase Group.
In the latest survey released Tuesday, 56 percent of Filipinos said they had “much trust” in Duterte, down one percentage point from 57 percent in June 2026.

Marcos, meanwhile, registered a 36 percent trust rating, up two percentage points from 34 percent in June.
Duterte recorded her strongest trust rating in Mindanao, where 87 percent of respondents said they had “much trust” in her, while 4 percent said they had “little trust.”

Stratbase Group President and CEO Victor Andres “Dindo” Manhit said the results indicated that both leaders would continue to face scrutiny over issues involving them and their respective families.
The survey was conducted from 21 to 27 September among 1,500 respondents nationwide.
