URDANETA CITY, Pangasinan — Police arrested a man after he allegedly drew a firearm and pointed it at two individuals during a heated argument here on Sunday evening.

The victims were identified as a 33-year-old bouncer and a 29-year-old waitress, both working at Wild Ladies Night Club and residing in the city. The suspect is a legal-age single man and resident of Urdaneta City.

According to police, the incident stemmed from a discussion over the termination of the suspect’s girlfriend from her job. The discussion reportedly escalated into a verbal altercation.

At around 6:57 p.m., the suspect allegedly pulled out an unidentified small firearm and pointed it at the two victims.

A struggle over the weapon ensued, during which one of the victims managed to disarm the suspect and take possession of the firearm.

The suspect then fled the scene. The victim reported the incident to the Urdaneta City Police Station at around 9:55 p.m. and turned over the firearm to responding police personnel.

Police launched a hot pursuit operation that led to the suspect’s arrest shortly after the report was received.

The suspect remains in police custody pending the filing of charges for grave threats in relation to Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

The firearm has been secured as evidence as authorities process the case.
