The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has warned the public against fake employment notices that claim to be issued by the agency

“We urge the public to stay vigilant against unverified information,” said the DOLE in its latest advisory.

With this, the department informed the public to only refer to its official channels for accurate information and for correct procedures.

The agency issued the advisory after learning of a fake DOLE announcement on updated requirements for securing an alien employment permit (EAP).

The DOLE said the material did not officially come from the department.

Back in July, the DOLE issued an advisory to direct their quiries, applications, requests, and other communications related to AEPs to Senior Labor and Employment Officer Sheila Lantaca of the Bureau of Local Employment.

An AEP is issued by the DOLE to a non-resident alien or foreign national seeking admission to the Philippines for employment purposes if it has been determined that no Filipino is competent, able and willing at the time of application to perform the services the foreigner has been tasked to do.
