Police arrested a 26-year-old man and seized around 1.5 grams of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Quezon, San Isidro, Isabela on 8 Sept. 8, 2026.

The suspect, identified as alias “Mac,” 26, single, unemployed and a resident of Barangay Rizal East, San Isidro, was arrested for alleged violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Police said the operation began at around 10:05 p.m. in District Bernabe, Barangay Quezon.

Two heat-sealed transparent sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu, were recovered from the suspect.

Also seized were a genuine P1,000 bill and a counterfeit P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money, a Vivo Y31 mobile phone, and a black-and-white Honda Click motorcycle without a plate number and its ignition key.

The suspect is currently under the custody of the San Isidro Police Station for documentation and appropriate legal proceedings.

Isabela Police Provincial Office director PCOL Manuel B. Bringas said police operations against illegal drugs would continue, emphasizing that enforcement efforts must be carried out in accordance with the law.

The police also urged residents to report suspicious activities related to illegal drugs to authorities.
