Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval led the distribution of more than 3,000 laptops to public school teachers during a ceremony at the Malabon Sports Complex, reaffirming the city government’s support for the local education sector.

The turnover fulfills a city pledge to equip teachers and non-teaching personnel with digital tools to streamline lesson planning, manage administrative tasks, and access online educational resources.

“This is the fulfillment of our promise to ensure that the work of our teachers and non-teaching personnel becomes easier and of higher quality,” Sandoval said. “You are the foundation of our students’ education and bright future. You can count on the city government to continuously support you.”

Along with the laptops, qualified public school teachers received their second-quarter allowance of P4,500 each to provide additional financial assistance and recognize their ongoing service to local students.

The event was attended by Malabon Schools Division superintendent Juan C. Obierna and representatives from the Schools Division Office and the Malabon Public Elementary and Secondary Teachers’ Association Inc.

City Administrator Alexander Rosete highlighted that the city’s support extends beyond equipment and funding, reflecting a broader recognition of educators’ contributions to the community.
