Brad Pitt’s new survival test

Brad Pitt is trading the usual action-hero formula for a more personal fight for survival in Heart of the Beast, an adventure thriller that places the bond between a Special Forces veteran and his combat dog at the center of the story.
Directed by David Ayer, the film has released a new international trailer ahead of its 23 September theatrical opening in Philippine cinemas.
Pitt stars as Special Forces officer James Belmont, whose mission takes a dangerous turn following a plane crash. Stranded in a hostile wilderness, James must rely on his training, instincts, and most importantly, his canine partner, Odin, to stay alive.
With the pair cut off from civilization and surrounded by brutal conditions, survival becomes a shared battle. Every decision carries consequences, while the harsh environment tests both soldier and dog beyond their limits.
The film comes from filmmaker David Ayer, whose credits include action-driven films such as Fury, End of Watch and The Beekeeper.
Joining Pitt in the cast are J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe, adding further star power to the survival thriller.
