Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX company, has expanded its IBM distribution footprint across Asia Pacific, adding the Philippines and five other markets as part of a broader global push to grow IBM’s partner network.

The expansion covers Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and the Philippines, adding to Tech Data’s existing IBM operations in Australia, India, Singapore and Vietnam.

“This expansion reflects the continued strength of the partnership between Tech Data, a TD SYNNEX company, and IBM across Asia Pacific,” said Jaideep Malhotra, president of TD SYNNEX APJ.

Malhotra said the expanded network gives partners across 10 Asia Pacific and Japan markets greater access to IBM technologies, expertise and support.

The rollout is part of TD SYNNEX’s expansion of IBM distribution into 20 new countries across Asia Pacific, Europe and Latin America.

Partners in the new markets will also gain access to Select Blue, a TD SYNNEX initiative developed with IBM to help companies specialize in areas such as artificial intelligence, data and automation.

“With this expansion, we are extending our reach into additional markets while connecting with a broader set of partners looking to grow their IBM business,” said Mark Martin, vice president for global vendor management at TD SYNNEX.

Tech Data said it will provide partners with financing, training, pre-sales assistance and go-to-market support as they develop and scale their IBM businesses.
