  • BALANGA CITY, Bataan – A court has sentenced an identified high-value drug personality to life imprisonment and ordered him to pay a total of one million pesos in fines, according to reports from the Bataan Police Provincial Office.

Known only by his alias “JOMER,” the convict was arrested on 12 December 2025, by operatives of the Bataan Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU) following a validated intelligence operation here. Seized from his possession were approximately 105 grams of shabu valued at P714,000.

In a ruling issued July 17, 2026, Regional Trial Court Presiding Judge Philger Noel B. Inovejas found the accused guilty beyond reasonable doubt of violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Aside from life imprisonment, he was directed to pay a fine of ₱500,000 for each count.

Bataan PNP Director PCOL Marites A. Salvadora emphasized that the conviction proves the efficiency of the police force’s operations and evidence gathering.

“This sends a strong message: our campaign does not end at arrest—we pursue justice until offenders are held fully accountable,” Salvadora stated.

"Anyone who destroys the future of our youth through illegal drugs will face the full force of the law.”

The successful prosecution, Salvadora stressed underscores the Bataan PNP’s unwavering commitment to dismantle drug networks and ensure that every case stands firm in court.
