South Korean singer-songwriter IU has postponed her upcoming concert and delayed the release of her sixth studio album after revealing that she is dealing with worsening health issues.

In a heartfelt letter shared with fans on Berriz on July 20, IU announced that her September concert at Goyang Stadium, along with her planned domestic tour, would no longer push through.

The singer explained that her chronic Patulous Eustachian tube dysfunction has worsened, making it increasingly difficult for her to perform.

“My ear symptoms have always been erratic, fluctuating between good and bad, but recently, they have persisted day and night for days at a time, and I have repeatedly found it difficult to regain my form while singing,” she wrote.

Although IU has already completed recording her sixth studio album, she said its release will also be pushed back by several months, as the album's promotional activities were originally scheduled around the concert and tour.

Apologizing to fans for the unexpected change, IU assured them that she is focused on recovering and preparing an album worthy of their patience.

“I’m truly sorry, and I love you so much,” she wrote, adding that she looks forward to greeting fans with new music and beginning 2027 together on a brighter note.
