As early as 3 a.m., participants gathered at the registration area, energized despite the weather, with the first gun start at 3:30 a.m. From first-timers and groups of friends to families, couples, seasoned marathoners, and elite runners, the morning showed grit and determination as they completed the 5K, 10K and 21K distances.

SM Active Hub by SM Supermalls brings together communities by encouraging movement and creating opportunities for fitness through events such as marathons, pickleball and cycling. These activities are made more accessible to both beginners and experienced participants who want to stay active. Beyond on-site events in malls, runners and fitness enthusiasts can also stay updated through the SM Supermalls app, which offers event details, discounts and promos.
Serving as one of the key stops in the nationwide series, the Iloilo leg allows runners to test their pace and endurance across different race categories. It caters to a wide range of participants, from those easing into shorter distances to more experienced runners aiming to complete a half marathon. The larger series invites participants to take on multiple city legs, with a goal of completing all six locations. Those who accomplish this milestone will receive the All-City Finisher Medal.
This series premiere, held in partnership with SM Supermalls and the SM Active Hub, marks the first of six cities in the nationwide half-marathon series, followed by Davao, Mandaue in Cebu, Clark in Pampanga, Cagayan de Oro, and will conclude in Pasay City at the SM Mall of Asia Complex in October 2026. More than just a race, it stands as a reminder that no matter the conditions, marathoners push forward with perseverance and strength, carrying the hours of training and obstacles they have overcome. In the end, it is the discipline to keep moving that wins the race.
