Esports icon Faker and TOMORROW X TOGETHER member Beomgyu are among the high-profile personalities set to test their detective skills in the upcoming Korean variety series Murder Club: Liar’s Table, premiering exclusively on Disney+ on 29 July.
The AI-powered murder mystery game show places a group of celebrity contestants in immersive crime scenarios where one participant secretly plays the killer. Using limited clues and evidence, the remaining players must work together to identify the culprit while navigating deception, mind games, and shifting alliances.
Each episode transports contestants to different settings, from the Joseon Dynasty to a modern baseball stadium and even a prison, with AI-generated video sequences recreating each murder case. As the investigation unfolds, the hidden killer must do everything possible to avoid suspicion until the final reveal.
Joining Faker and Beomgyu in the cast are travel YouTuber Pani Bottle, TVXQ!’s Max Changmin, actor Shin Sungrok, comedian Choi Yangrak, comedian Eom Jiyoon, viral creator Kim Seontae, professional baseball player Kim Hyunsoo, and Culinary Class Wars chef Park Juseong.
Blending strategy, psychological warfare and immersive storytelling, Murder Club: Liar’s Table promises a fresh take on the murder mystery genre, challenging both contestants and viewers to separate truth from lies.
The series begins streaming 29 July, exclusively on Disney+.
