Changan also used the period to train its sales managers at the C5 flagship dealership. The program covered leadership, performance targets, planning, staff development, inventory control and daily operations.
The sessions focused on the work sales managers handle beyond closing deals. They are also expected to guide teams, monitor performance, manage vehicle stocks and keep dealership operations organized.
Customer service was another part of the training. Changan wants its sales teams to give buyers a more consistent experience across the network, from the first showroom visit to the release of the vehicle.
The program also gave managers from different dealerships a chance to compare practices and align their sales approach. This matters as the network grows and more dealer groups begin carrying the brand in different parts of the country.
Inchcape Philippines is pairing dealership expansion with staff development as Changan builds its local presence. New showrooms can bring the brand closer to customers, but trained teams will still shape how buyers see the company once they walk through the door.
The upcoming branches are expected to support vehicle sales and aftersales services in their assigned areas. Opening dates for the five locations have yet to be announced.
