Southeast Asian payments infrastructure company Xendit has integrated Philippine payments pioneer Dragonpay into its platform, giving local merchants access to more payment methods, cross-border capabilities and regional payment infrastructure.
The move builds on Xendit’s strategic investment in Dragonpay in 2021 and combines Dragonpay’s local payment network with Xendit’s regional platform.
Dragonpay’s 905 merchants can now access Xendit’s suite of services, including more than 100 payment methods, payouts, cross-border payments and financing. The integration also enables businesses to simplify payment operations and serve customers beyond the Philippines.
Dragonpay currently works with 44 payment partners, including banks, e-wallets, non-bank financial institutions and over-the-counter payment channels.
Xendit CEO Moses Lo said the integration combines Dragonpay’s trusted local network with Xendit’s regional technology and infrastructure to help Philippine businesses expand across Southeast Asia.
Dragonpay founder Robertson Chiang said the partnership strengthens the company’s technology, security and product offerings while maintaining its local service.
Founded in 2010, Dragonpay pioneered alternative digital payments in the Philippines by enabling online transactions through banks, e-wallets and over-the-counter channels, particularly for consumers without credit cards or bank accounts.
The integration comes as digital payments continue to grow in the Philippines, supported by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ push toward a cash-lite economy.
Xendit now operates in Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Hong Kong.
