ACMobility is expanding its Power-on-Wheels service to support businesses that use electric vehicles but still need easier access to charging.
The Ayala Group mobility platform said the service brings mobile EV chargers to fleets, depots, offices, residential properties, commercial sites and events. It is designed for companies that cannot rely only on fixed charging stations or are still waiting for permanent chargers to be installed.
More businesses are shifting parts of their fleets to electric vehicles as operating costs, fleet needs and sustainability targets change.
Charging access, however, remains a concern. Some companies run vehicles across several sites. Others need charging support during events or at locations where permanent chargers are not yet available.
Power-on-Wheels, or POW, gives these businesses another option. The service sends charging units to where vehicles are parked or used, which helps companies keep EVs running without building new charging sites right away.
“With Power-on-Wheels, we are extending EV charging beyond fixed infrastructure to meet businesses where they operate,” Carla Buencamino, head of Mobility Infrastructure at ACMobility, said.
“This enables a more flexible and resilient charging ecosystem that supports the operational realities of enterprise mobility today, and sets up businesses for success in the future.”
POW can be used by residential and condominium developers that want to offer charging to residents and guests. Offices and commercial buildings can use it for tenants, employees and visitors.
Fleet operators can schedule on-site charging to help keep vehicles available for daily use. Dealerships, retail spaces and event organizers can also tap the service for activations, temporary charging needs and customer support.
The service gives businesses a way to add EV charging without large upfront spending on construction or permanent equipment. Clients may choose monthly or annual contracts, depending on their operations.
Each account gets a dedicated mobile coordinator. Emergency roadside assistance is also included for charging-related concerns.
POW supports battery electric vehicles and select plug-in hybrids. It offers DC fast charging, with mobile units carrying a capacity of up to 120 kWh. The chargers are compatible with CCS2 or GB/T plugs.
The service is now available to enterprise clients in Metro Manila. Coverage also includes parts of Southern Luzon, including Batangas, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal. It is also available in Bulacan and Pampanga in Northern Luzon.
ACMobility is positioning POW as a stopgap and support system for businesses that want to electrify their operations while charging infrastructure continues to expand.
