ACMobility, Shell add 8 EV charging hubs

ACMobility and Shell Pilipinas Corporation have opened eight electric vehicle charging hubs at selected Shell Mobility stations, giving EV drivers more places to recharge outside Metro Manila.
The newest sites are located on the northbound and southbound sides of the North Luzon Expressway in Mexico, Pampanga.
These stations are positioned to serve motorists traveling to destinations such as Baguio City and La Union, as well as drivers returning to Metro Manila.
The two companies entered into their charging infrastructure partnership in September 2025. Since then, ACMobility has installed DC fast chargers at Shell stations along major highways and in other key areas.
The network now includes three sites in Pampanga. These are Shell Mexico NLEX Northbound, Shell Mexico NLEX Southbound and Shell North Expressway Dau.
Other Luzon locations are Shell Subic in Zambales, Shell Mangaldan in Pangasinan and Shell Tanaytay Alaminos, also in Pangasinan.
Two charging hubs are operating in Davao City at Shell Bago Aplaya Talomo and Shell Matina Enclaves.
The spread of the stations gives EV owners more options during intercity trips, where access to reliable charging remains an important concern. Shell provides locations that are already familiar to motorists, while ACMobility handles the charging infrastructure.
Carla Buencamino, ACMobility head of mobility infrastructure, said the partnership supports the development of the Philippine EV Spine. The project seeks to place charging stations along major roads that connect destinations across the country.
Jolo Valdez, non-fuel retail and e-mobility manager for Shell Mobility, said the partnership combines Shell’s station network with ACMobility’s experience in EV charging.
Both companies plan to install charging hubs at 50 Shell locations, with more than 100 charge points nationwide. Additional sites in Pampanga, Cavite and Camarines Sur are expected to open within the year. Charging hubs in Batangas, Bataan and Cebu are also lined up for construction.
Drivers can find the stations through Evro, ACMobility’s partner app. It shows available charge points in real time and allows users to plan charging sessions. Payments may be made through GCash or credit card.
ACMobility reported more than 200 charging locations nationwide as of July 2026. The company continues to add sites as more electric vehicles enter the local market and demand for charging grows beyond major business districts.
