Some 561 senior citizens in Malabon received P10,000 each under the Expanded Centenarian Cash Gift Program, as the government recognized their longevity and valuable contributions to society.
The beneficiaries, who recently celebrated their 80th, 85th, 90th and 95th birthdays, received the incentive during the program’s second payout at the Barangay Tugatog Covered Court.
The distribution was led by the National Commission of Senior Citizens in partnership with the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs-Malabon.
Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said the Malabon City government will continue to recognize and support senior citizens in gratitude for their contributions to the city’s development.
