SAP has appointed Verena Siow as president for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, effective immediately, as the enterprise software company strengthens its focus on customer success and AI-driven business transformation.

Based in Singapore, Siow will oversee SAP's operations across Asia Pacific, helping customers maximize the value of the company's enterprise software and cloud solutions.

A technology industry veteran with nearly 30 years of experience, Siow has spent the past 15 years at SAP. Most recently, she served as Business Suite Leader for Asia Pacific, where she led cloud growth and the end-to-end customer value journey. She previously served as president and managing director for SAP Southeast Asia.

"Our business is fueled by accelerated AI innovation, underpinned by our purpose, our people, and our partnerships," said Manos Raptopoulos, SAP chief revenue officer for APAC, EMEA and MEE. "Verena brings deep regional expertise, focus on customer success, and exceptional leadership to this important growth market."

Siow said organizations across the region are increasingly adopting AI to transform their operations.

"It's a pivotal time to take the reins at SAP Asia Pacific," she said. "Our vision for the Autonomous Enterprise, connecting data, processes, and people seamlessly, is delivering real outcomes for customers as they reinvent their businesses for the AI era."

SAP operates market units across Australia and New Zealand, Greater China, India, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia. The company employs more than 50,000 people across 46 offices and SAP Labs locations in the region and serves tens of thousands of customers, including NEC, Alibaba Group, Hyundai Motor, Wipro, Fujitsu and Fonterra.
