
The Supreme Court (SC) announced Wednesday that 235 out of 796 examinees passed the 2026 Shari’ah Special Bar Examinations, yielding a passing rate of 29.52 percent.
Associate Justice Henry John Paul Inting, chairman of the examinations, released the results during a formal announcement at the Supreme Court.
Two examinees tied for the highest score with a grade of 89.15 percent — Van Regine Lim Perlas and Ahmad Nuska Bato.
A total of 1,055 applicants initially registered for the exams, with 796 completing the two-day test. Of those who finished, 529 were women and 267 were men. The passing group included 151 women and 84 men.
The examinations were conducted digitally across testing centers in Metro Manila and Mindanao, including New Era University, Ateneo de Davao University, Ateneo de Zamboanga University, and the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology.
Most test-takers, 751, took the exam in English, while 45 opted for the Arabic version.
