Working with A-list actress Kathryn Bernardo in the highly anticipated Kapamilya series "Someone, Someday" was no easy feat for James Reid, who admitted he felt nervous sharing the screen with one of the country's biggest stars.

“She’s super grounded. Very hands-on with the project. She really makes the set feel like a family. I learn a lot from working with her, as I've mentioned,” Reid said during an ambush interview after winning Album of the Year at the 17th Star Awards for Music.

The singer-actor admitted that working with Bernardo came with added pressure.

“To be honest, I was very nervous. There’s a lot of pressure working with such big names in the industry,” he said.

Despite his initial nerves, Reid said the experience proved to be rewarding.

“I actually learned a lot while working with Kathryn. I’m very excited to watch this project.”

"Someone, Someday" also marks Reid's return to television after a lengthy hiatus. His last teleserye was Till I Met You, where he starred opposite his then-girlfriend Nadine Lustre.

“I felt as if I had never left, like I was back home. Malapit nang matapos, so it’s going to be out maybe in July. I can’t wait,” he said of his television comeback.

"Someone, Someday" premieres on primetime on 27 July.
