Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines is strengthening its leadership team with the appointment of four new partners, expanding its assurance capabilities and regional expertise across the Philippines and Brunei.
Effective 1 July 2026, the firm admitted Assurance Partners Calvin Casingcasing, Rikki Marvin Dalangin, and Ronnel Nuñez, along with Dylan Yee of PricewaterhouseCoopers Services, PwC Philippines’ Brunei-based assurance services branch.
PwC Philippines Chairman and Senior Partner Roderick Danao said the appointments reflect the firm’s focus on developing future leaders who can support clients and drive growth across its markets.
“One of the things I’m most proud of is seeing our professionals grow into leaders. Calvin, Rikki, Ronnel, and Dylan have built distinguished careers through technical and client service excellence, leadership, and a commitment to serving clients and developing talent. Their admission to the partnership reflects both their individual achievements and our continued investment in the next generation of leaders who will help shape the future of our firm,” Danao said.
Casingcasing joins the partnership with extensive experience in audit, financial reporting, and cross-border engagements, particularly in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector. He has handled complex audits involving industries such as manufacturing, real estate, logistics, consumer, and business process outsourcing.
His international experience includes secondments at PwC Finland’s Helsinki office and PwC Japan’s Tokyo office, where he worked with global clients under Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). He graduated cum laude with an Accountancy degree from the University of Santo Tomas.
Nuñez brings more than a decade of experience in auditing multinational organizations across sectors including entertainment and media, telecommunications, semiconductors, logistics, retail, manufacturing, and healthcare.
He previously completed a two-year secondment at PwC’s Philadelphia office, supporting audits of US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)-listed companies under Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards. He also contributes to PwC’s Audit Methodology Group and assurance training programs. Nuñez holds an Accountancy degree from Bicol University and placed fourth in the October 2011 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination.
Dalangin adds specialized expertise in financial services and regulated industries, particularly insurance. His experience covers life and general insurance, health management organizations, mutual benefit associations, and takaful.
He played key roles in major industry initiatives, including internal controls over financial reporting (ICOFR) validation when the framework was introduced in 2018, and supported the implementation of IFRS 17 for multinational insurance clients. He also completed a secondment with PwC Switzerland, further strengthening his insurance sector expertise.
Meanwhile, Yee expands PwC Philippines’ regional leadership through his appointment as partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers Services, which supports the firm’s assurance practice in Brunei.
Yee brings decades of experience in audit, advisory, and risk management across Malaysia and Indonesia. He previously served as a director at PwC Indonesia, leading audits for banks, multifinance firms, and securities companies, while helping strengthen internal controls and financial reporting systems.
Before that, he spent more than 10 years at PwC Malaysia, handling statutory and regulatory audits for major financial institutions, insurers, and investment firms. His experience includes IFRS 9 implementation for Malaysian banks, mergers and acquisitions advisory, debt issuance transactions, and financial reporting training programs.
Danao said the four new partners embody the firm’s commitment to client service, professional development, and leadership excellence.
“Partnership is one of the most significant milestones in a professional career. Calvin, Rikki, Ronnel, and Dylan have each built their careers by serving clients, investing in their people, and continuously developing their expertise. Their journeys reflect the values we aspire to as a firm, and we look forward to the leadership, partnership, and energy they will bring as partners,” Danao said.
PwC Philippines said the appointments reinforce its efforts to strengthen assurance services, deepen sector expertise, and provide clients with broader access to regional and global capabilities.
