After turning heads with their viral cover of “Takedown” and the fan-favorite track “Tanga,” rising P-Pop girl group KAIA is entering a softer, more romantic era with their latest single, “Hulog.”
Unlike the heartbreak-driven themes of their previous release, “Hulog” celebrates the excitement and vulnerability of falling in love. Built around the question, “Paano ka ba nahulog?,” the song captures the butterflies, hope, and sincerity that come with opening one’s heart to someone new. The group shared that the track reflects not only a new chapter in their music but also their growth as artists and individuals.
The release also sees KAIA collaborating with some of OPM’s sought-after hitmakers. Produced by Shadiel Chan — known for Cup of Joe’s hit “Multo” — alongside Ken Ponce, the song features lyrics by Jikamarie, Red Ridao, Ron Pangyarihan and Chan, with the members contributing their own experiences to help shape its emotional direction.
KAIA described working with Chan and the team as a dream come true, adding that the recording process helped them deliver a more heartfelt and authentic performance.
