THE Kababaihan Partylist gathered leadership representatives from various local government units (LGUs) for a year-end Christmas party. The event celebrated the year’s milestones, strengthened camaraderie among regional heads, and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to empowering grassroots women leaders and sustaining the movement’s momentum.

Kababaihan Partylist closed out 2025 still chasing its founding promise: representation for every Filipino who feels shut out by society, through programs that put their interests first.
As the group put it: “It is the goal of Kababaihan to provide a proper and reliable livelihood for every woman and Filipino through establishing and championing their rights.”
Kababaihan fell short in the last national elections, polling 107,848 votes nationwide, not enough for a congressional seat. But the group says that hasn’t dented its commitment to the people it claims to serve.
In 2025 alone, the organization distributed 3,825 relief and food packs to localities affected by natural disasters and to families in Quezon City, Navotas, Valenzuela, and Bulacan who were struggling to put food on the table during the holidays.

THROUGHOUT 2025, Kababaihan continued its commitment to supporting communities and empowering women by providing financial assistance and in‑kind donations.

It had also donated P500,000 to the GMA Kapuso Foundation as part of its relief efforts in the aftermath of the devastating Super Typhoon Uwan.
Aside from providing material and cash assistance to individuals, the partylist also conducted projects aimed at uplifting the morale of women persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), such as shoe donations, medical and dental missions, and makeup workshops.
Looking to expand its partnership with different local government units, Kababaihan had also participated in the Caravans of Valenzuela City and Northern Samar, showcasing that their assistance was not only meant for cities in Metro Manila, but also for remote communities that often lack sufficient supplies.
Building on its previous campaign, the partylist, together with the TESDA-Women’s Center and the Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat (PGSK), supported the signing of the memorandum of agreement to establish the “SHE Means Business: Lakas ng Kababaihan sa Pagnenegosyo” program.
Fostering women’s entrepreneurship
Through the said program, women who otherwise have no platform, as well as single mothers, unemployed women, and indigenous women, are trained to become entrepreneurs through lectures on financial literacy and technical-vocational skills.
Such an initiative was in line with the continued pursuit by Kababaihan to advance and enhance economic opportunities for women in the country, ensuring that every individual was involved in community development.
In recognition of the rights of all individuals, one of the organization’s initiatives was to foster a more inclusive and humane space for everyone. With the effort, Kababaihan participated in the first-ever “Safe Spaces Seminar for the Drag Community” held on 8 July 2025.
Throughout the seminar, discussions on collective action focused on the partylist reinforcing its commitment to ensuring that marginalized communities and vulnerable sectors of the country were afforded a safe space to express themselves.

KABABAIHAN Partylist partnered with Puma Philippines to launch a shoe drive initiative for persons deprived of liberty at the Correctional Institution for Women. The program provided footwear to nearly 100 women beneficiaries, symbolizing support, dignity, and renewed hope.

However, in 2025, Kababaihan was not only focused on championing women’s rights. It was also actively engaged in advocacy and civic actions. During the first iteration of the Trillion Peso March in September, it was held in tandem with the public in calling for accountability over the flood control scandal.
“The movement stands united with citizens against corruption, abuse of power, and mismanagement, emphasizing that public resources meant to protect the people must never be exploited for private gain,” the group said.
With all the activities that the organization had participated in throughout the year, it also recognized the need to take a step back and develop cooperation within the partylist through organizational gatherings.
Through an All Leaders Assembly on 18 October, the group was given the opportunity to strengthen its leaders’ commitment across numerous Metro Manila cities to further push for equal opportunities and the voice of every Filipino woman.
In 2026, Kababaihan is poised to build on its efforts and preestablished partnerships to expand its assistance to all sectors in the Philippines.
