Cebu Pacific celebrated 25 years of serving Hong Kong by recognizing five outstanding overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) for their contributions to the Filipino community abroad.
The airline presented the CEB Values Awards during the Philippine Tourism Festival organized by the OFW group Philippine Alliance in Hong Kong. The awards recognize individuals who exemplify Cebu Pacific's core values of Trust, Integrity, Courage, Service and the Best of Filipino Spirit.
"Over the past 25 years, Hong Kong has been an important part of Cebu Pacific's international network and story. More importantly, it has been home to generations of OFWs whose hard work and dedication continue to inspire us," said Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific chief marketing and customer experience officer.
"Through the CEB Values Awards, we recognize individuals who embody the values we aspire to live by as an airline," she added.
This marked the second time Cebu Pacific has held the awards program in Hong Kong.
Each award recipient received a roundtrip international ticket with a 20-kilogram baggage allowance. The airline also raffled off three additional roundtrip international tickets to OFWs attending the festival.
Cebu Pacific said the initiative aims to recognize the contributions of overseas Filipinos while providing opportunities for them to reconnect with loved ones or explore destinations within the carrier's international network.
Hong Kong has been part of Cebu Pacific's route network since 2001 and remains one of the airline's key international destinations, serving both OFWs and a growing number of leisure and business travelers.
The carrier currently operates flights to 35 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia and the Middle East as part of its efforts to make air travel more accessible and strengthen connectivity for Filipinos worldwide.
