The suspect in the killing of a former kagawad of Barangay Culis in Hermosa, Bataan was arrested in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga late 26 June 2026.
According to Bataan Police Provincial Office (BPPO) Director Police Colonel Marites Salvadora, the suspect is identified as Alvin Vitangcol, a 46-year-old resident of Barangay Malipangpang in the town of San Ildefonso, Bulacan.
The suspect ambushed and shot dead 42-year-old former kagawad Norman Dalit of Sitio Maligaya of Hermosa, Bataan. The victim was ambushed in front of his house by the suspect aboard a white vehicle on Friday.
The composite team of Hermosa, Pampanga and other teams arrested the suspect at Barangay San Juan in the City of San Fernando.
Police recovered a rifle and the white Toyota Tamaraw used in the escape.
