DAVAO CITY — Around 60 entries are expected to participate in the two-day Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas (SBP) Zone 12 Grassroots and Talent Identification Program, which tips off on Friday at the Emcor Bajada Gym here.
According to SBP Zone 12 assistant director for Player Development Alyssa Villamor, they are expecting boys and girls in the U12 and U16 brackets to join the grassroots and talent identification program with the hopes of landing spots in the national team.
Many-time Best Import awardee Norman Black and former Ateneo de Manila University star Larry Fonacier will conduct the clinic which will provide an elite training camp featuring advanced skill development, player evaluation, and high-performance training.
Villamor also added that the program reflects the SBP’s commitment to discovering and developing the country’s next generation of basketball talent by bringing elite instruction and player evaluation directly to the regions.
