Judge narrows Lively–Baldoni lawsuit

A U.S. judge has dismissed several key claims in Blake Lively’s lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, significantly narrowing one of Hollywood’s most closely watched legal battles, according to a report by USA Today.

The ruling removes a large portion of the allegations initially filed by Lively, including claims related to sexual harassment, defamation, and conspiracy. 

The court found that certain legal protections did not apply under the circumstances presented, effectively limiting the scope of the case moving forward.

Despite the setback, the lawsuit is far from over. Several claims, including those tied to alleged retaliation and contractual disputes, remain active and are expected to play a central role as the case progresses. 

The decision shifts attention toward whether actions taken behind the scenes may have impacted Lively’s professional standing.

The dispute stems from issues connected to the film It Ends With Us, a highly anticipated adaptation that has also drawn significant public attention.
