The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) reported continued gains under the expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program in the first quarter of 2026, with thousands of beneficiaries assisted nationwide.
DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling said the program is translating reforms into results, as the agency moves to scale up implementation in the coming months.
In Bulacan, more than 1,000 beneficiaries received certificates and symbolic housing keys under a project expected to generate over 11,000 units. In Pampanga, over 1,300 individuals moved closer to land ownership under the Enhanced Community Mortgage Program, while 271 families in Laguna and 180 families in Lucena City secured land tenure through similar initiatives.
Rental housing projects are also underway in University of the Philippines Diliman and University of the Philippines Los Baños, as well as in Iloilo and Quezon City. Meanwhile, more than 10,000 families have availed of subsidized housing loans through the Pag-IBIG Fund, with interest rates as low as three percent.
Aliling said the program’s expanded approach—including vertical and horizontal housing, rental housing, and community mortgage schemes—aims to address the varied needs of Filipino families.
“Hindi isa ang solusyon sa pabahay. Kaya pinalawak natin ang mga opsyon upang mas maraming Pilipino ang mabigyan ng pagkakataong magkaroon ng sariling tahanan,” he said.
