A 26-year-old alumnus of the Tau Gamma Phi fraternity allegedly involved in the hazing death of a maritime student in General Trias, Cavite, surrendered to the Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday.
The suspect, whose name was not immediately released, turned himself in to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group at Camp Crame. His attorney, Jayve Grospe, said he urged his client to surrender out of respect for the rule of law and in response to the deadline set by the government.
