Volvo Cars Philippines has secured certification for its Volvo Personal Service program, becoming the first in the country to complete the global standard.

The certification covers the after-sales system of Volvo under Hariphil Asia Resources Inc., or HARI, its local distributor. The company said the program focuses on assigning one dedicated technician to each customer from the start of ownership.

As part of the program, every Volvo buyer works with a Personal Service Technician who handles service appointments, repairs, invoicing, and follow-up calls. The same technician stays with the client throughout the life of the vehicle. The company said this approach shortens waiting time and improves coordination inside the workshop.

HARI went through training with Volvo’s global team before earning the certification. Service personnel completed a structured program that tested both technical skills and customer handling. All participants finished the course and met the standards required by Volvo Cars.

The distributor said the program strengthens its local service operations and aligns them with Volvo’s international practices. It added that the system aims to keep vehicles in the same condition as when they left the showroom.

Maria Fe Perez-Agudo, vice chairman, president and CEO of HARI, said the certification carries both recognition and responsibility for the organization.

She said the company continues to invest in training and development of its service staff while keeping customer safety as a priority. She added that the Volvo Personal Service program supports a balanced and sustainable ecosystem for the brand in the Philippines.

Volvo Personal Service operates in several markets worldwide. The model centers on direct communication between the technician and the vehicle owner. Volvo said this reduces handoffs and improves transparency during maintenance and repair work.

The certification places Volvo Cars Philippines among markets that have adopted the full Personal Service framework. Company officials said the program forms part of its long-term plan to strengthen after-sales support in the country.
