Things are heating up between fans of Dustin Yu and Will Ashley as competition between the two Kapuso stars reached feverish pitch.
A petition was filed by Yu’s fan to oust Ashley from a series currently being streamed online.
“I’m writing as a concerned fan, we would like to request from Star Creatives, Star Magic and GMA Pictures to remove Will Ashley from the casts of The Secrets of Hotel 88 as his fans are creating a toxic environment for the other fandoms involved in this prestigious project. We believe it is best to remove him before their fans can cause irreparable damage to the show,” the petition read.
Ashley plays Kiko Endaya, a hardworking raketero in the series.

Vice Ganda visits viral baby monkey in Japan
It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda shared snaps of Punch, a seven-month-old male macaque which recently went viral.
Punch gained global attention after he was photographed clutching a stuffed orangutan toy at Ichikawa City Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Chiba Prefecture in Japan.
Vice Ganda shared a photo of the viral baby monkey when he took time out to visit Punch at the Ichikawa City Zoo. She was in Japan for the Philippines-Japan Film Festival 2026.
“Hi Punch,” Vice Ganda captioned his post on Instagram Story.
On X (formerly Twitter), she expressed excitement upon seeing Punch personally.
“Success!!!! I saw Punch!!! He looks ok. He is now being hugged by big monkeys. So happy!!!” she wrote in her caption.
Two of Vice Ganda’s blockbuster movies — And The Breadwinner Is… and Call Me Mother — have been selected for screening at the inaugural Philippines–Japan Film Festival 2026 in Tokyo, marking the actor’s first participation in an international film festival.
Call Me Mother will serve as the festival’s opening film. Vice shared his appreciation for the recognition before departing for Japan.
“I was surprised. I thought I only had one entry. It’s heartwarming to learn that I actually have two films in the festival,” she said in an interview with TV Patrol.
“It’s a good opportunity for Filipino movies to be seen and appreciated by other nationalities. We hope to reach a wider global audience. They can learn a lot from our films. Through our culture, they may discover and understand more about the lives and experiences of Filipinos,” she added.
The Philippines–Japan Film Festival 2026 is being launched in line with the 2026 Philippines–Japan Friendship Year, highlighting cultural exchange between the two nations.
