CLARK FREEPORT ZONE — Clark International Airport (CRK) has been named one of the world’s Best Airports at Arrivals in the 2025 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Customer Experience Awards by Airports Council International (ACI) World, as the Philippines secured spots in multiple categories of the global benchmark program.
Meanwhile, Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) in Lapu-Lapu City was recognized as one of the Best Airports at Departures in the 5 to 15 million passengers per year category. Both airports are included in the list of 2025 award winners, based entirely on passenger feedback.
Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), which operates CRK, said the recognition affirms its team’s commitment to delivering smooth and comfortable service anchored on Filipino hospitality.
“First impressions matter greatly for visitors coming to our country, and we aim to keep providing positive experiences for all passengers,” said LIPAD President and CEO Noel Manankil in a statement.
According to the 2025 ASQ survey — which sampled nearly 707,000 passengers worldwide using scientific methods — CRK received high marks for its clean and well-ventilated facilities, efficient arrival processes, courteous frontline staff, and fast border and passport control.
The ASQ awards are described by ACI World as the most credible global benchmark for airport excellence, with recognition shaped solely by passenger feedback. Results show that airports prioritizing organized service reported higher satisfaction rates, even as global air traffic continues to increase.
Mactan-Cebu’s inclusion in the departures category places it alongside other top hubs, such as Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow, India. Clark joins Bahrain International Airport, Kempegowda International Airport, and Mangaluru International Airport in the Best Airports at Arrivals category.
The awards come amid passenger feedback on operational challenges at Philippine gateways. The ASQ wins highlight ongoing efforts to elevate aviation service standards, positioning Clark and Mactan-Cebu as key air travel hubs in the region.
