The Medical City (TMC) said it is strengthening its integrated healthcare network nationwide, highlighting expanded services, improved emergency response systems and internationally benchmarked clinical programs in 2025.
With hospitals in Ortigas, Clark, South Luzon in Santa Rosa, Laguna, Iloilo and Pangasinan, and more than 70 primary care branches under The Medical City Clinic, the network said it aims to make globally aligned healthcare more accessible to Filipino families.
“The best healthcare is not only advanced, it is accessible,” said Dr. Stuart Bennett, president and group CEO of The Medical City. “Our responsibility is to ensure that Filipino families can access globally aligned care close to home, delivered through coordinated systems they can rely on.”
Emergency care reforms were among the key initiatives rolled out in 2025. TMC implemented its FastER program across hospitals, a standardized emergency workflow that ensures patients are seen by an emergency physician within 10 minutes and are either discharged or admitted within four hours.
The program drew notice from Department of Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa, who said public hospitals should aim to achieve similar emergency response benchmarks.
At TMC Ortigas, the Center for Liver Health and Transplantation recorded three successful pediatric liver transplants eight months after launching its partnership with Rizal Medical Center. By the end of 2025, the center had completed 18 pediatric and 11 adult liver transplants.
The hospital also reported a 97 percent one-year survival rate under its Heart Attack Clinical Care Program and a 93 percent survival rate in its Primary Stroke Program. Its intensive care unit posted an 81 percent survival rate.
TMC expanded access to advanced diagnostics, including SPOT-MAS, an early detection test that screens for DNA markers associated with 10 types of cancer. It also strengthened its precision medicine program, which tailors treatment plans based on a patient’s DNA profile.
In Western Visayas, TMC Iloilo performed the region’s first intravascular lithotripsy procedure for severe calcified coronary artery disease and received Gold Status Accreditation from the WSO Angels Award for stroke care.
TMC Clark maintained its distinction as the first hospital in Central Luzon to achieve Joint Commission International accreditation, while TMC South Luzon opened a Wellness and Lifestyle Center offering preventive and executive health services with smart room features and biophilic design.
In Pangasinan, facility upgrades, expanded parking, improved patient rooms and a strengthened wellness unit supported by a mobile clinic were rolled out to enhance community access.
TMC Ortigas was recognized by the Joint Commission International as an Academic Medical Center, alongside dual certifications in Acute Myocardial Infarction and Stroke Clinical Care Programs.
Across its clinic network, TMC recorded more than 2 million patient visits in 2025. The network was named Primary Care Provider of the Year for the third consecutive year at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2025.
Other recognitions included Patient Safety Initiative of the Year for TMC Clark, a secondary hospital citation for TMC Iloilo and Best Level 2 Hospital for TMC South Luzon from the Department of Health–Calabarzon.
The hospital network said its “One TMC” model aims to reduce fragmentation by standardizing emergency processes, aligning clinical protocols and coordinating referrals across facilities.
The Medical City said its goal is to build a connected health system where advanced care, global standards and reliable systems are accessible to Filipinos nationwide.
