Recovering from a previous miscue will be the order of business when University of Perpetual Help System Dalta battles College of Saint Benilde in Season 102 National Collegiate Athletic Association men’s volleyball tournament today at the San Andres Gym in Manila.

Game time is set at 2 p.m. with the Altas Spikers gunning for its eight win in 10 games while avenging their painful 22-25, 23-25, 25-23, 19-25 loss to the Blazers early in the season of the country’s oldest collegiate league.

Although the Altas Spikers are already in the quarterfinals, they are not expected to take it easy as they seek to sweep their last four games in the eliminations to clinch a twice-to-beat incentive in the quarterfinals.

“Our main target now is to bounce back against Saint Benilde strengthen our position in the next round. We still have four remaining games and we are aiming to sustain it going to the quarterfinals,” Perpetual coach Macky Cariño said.

Also expected to go all out to score a sweet revenge are the Lady Altas, who will clash with reigning champion Lady Blazers at 12 p.m.

Despite Cy Almeniana’s 27 points, the Lady Altas still fell to the powerhouse Lady Blazers, 25-21, 18-25, 25-23, 17-25 16-14, in their first meeting.

They, however, will march to battle oozing with momentum following a 25-19, 25-20, 15-25, 22-25, 17-15 victory over San Beda University in their previous game with Almeniana and Jemalyn Menor firing 18 points apiece to emerge as the game’s best performers.
