Bureau of Customs (BOC) Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno on Thursday, 26 February, said that at least eight vehicles linked to resigned Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Zaldy Co, who is linked to the anomalous flood control projects in the country, were found to have problems with documents.
Nepomuceno also said that a warrant of seizure and detention will be issued for the cars, adding that the former lawmaker's vehicles have issues with certificates of payment and import entries.
The BOC chief said that they will auction Co’s vehicles.
"They failed to present the appropriate payment records and supporting documentation. Meaning, the certificates of payment, import entries — just like the Discaya cars — have also problems,” Nepomuceno said.
Authorities seized around 14 high-end vehicles linked to Zaldy Co at his condominium in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City on 8 January 2026. Another two luxury vehicles were also seized at a property in his home province of Albay.
Nepomuceno said some of these vehicles were brought the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) in Taguig for temporary safekeeping.
The BOC chief also said that Co’s vehicles will be auctioned off.
