The Department of Public Works and Highways disclosed the continued rehabilitation of roads in Bicol and Quezon provinces.
Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon said the DPWH-Bicol is accelerating rehabilitation works along roads in Barangay Cabutangan, Lupi, Camarines Sur.
The move is in line with the President’s directive to fast-track the completion of projects before All Saints’ Day to ensure the safe and smooth flow of traffic in the area.
Routine road maintenance activities are also ongoing in Lupi to keep roads in good condition.
Meanwhile, the DPWH has completed road rehabilitation works in some areas of Atimonan, Quezon, prioritizing sections of the Maharlika Highway as directed by the President.
Dizon also instructed the DPWH-CALABARZON to finish all ongoing road works before All Saints’ Day 2026.
At present, the DPWH is monitoring the repair of other portions of the Maharlika Highway in the region to speed up project implementation.
