A fourth impeachment complaint was filed against Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday night, 18 February, the same day she officially declared her intent to run for president in the 2028 elections.
Atty. Nathaniel Cabrera, a resident of Lemery, Batangas was the lone complainant of the new impeachment complaint against the vice president.
House Secretary General Cheloy Garafil received the complaint just minutes before office work closed at 7 p.m.
Deputy Speaker La Union 1st district Rep. Paolo Ortega V and Manila 6th district Rep. Bienvenido "Benny" Abante served as the complaint's endorsers.
Cabrera, Ortega, and Abante did not give interviews to the media after the filing.
The four impeachment complaints against Duterte were submitted in just the month of February.
Cabrera went to the Office of the House Secretary General Cheloy Garafil to file the complaint against Duterte, based primarily on her threats against ranking officials, including President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the alleged misuse of confidential funds (CF), non-declaration of her assets, abuse of power, bribery of officials, and others.
