Bella Belen reset a new personal best in the pro ranks to lift Capital1 past Choco Mucho in a gritty, 25-21, 18-25, 25-18, 19-25, 15-10, escape to end a two-game slide in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
The top overall pick in the last Draft dropped 29 points, including five in the crucial stretch of the deciding frame, as the Solar Spikers evened their win-loss record to 2-2.
Belen scored 25 attacks with two kill blocks and two aces to go with 15 digs and seven excellent receptions for an all-around performance.
“For me, the team did great because Choco Mucho is not an easy opponent,” said Belen, who surpassed her 28 points in a losing effort against PLDT the last time out.
“We did our part as players and stuck to our game plan. We just kept our patience and persevered when the game got tight.”
Shaya Adorador and Ezra Madrigal added seven markers each while Ysa Jimenez and Pauline Gaston scored six each for the Solar Spikers, who will face Creamline on Saturday.
Belen powered Capital1’s decisive 7-4 run for a 12-9 lead that effectively took the fight out of the Flying Titans.
Sisi Rondina scored 22 points and Kat Tolentino had 19 for the Flying Titans, who played sans injured Eya Laure and fell to three straight losses for a 1-3 slate.
