Year of the Fire Horse 2026 feng shui predictions

From the “Floodgate” or flood control scams in the Philippines to the “Pizzagate” or Jeffery Epstein files, this year, the Year of the Yang Fire Horse, is a year for “illumination and confrontation,” said esteemed feng shui master or geomancer Patrick Fernandez.

“Issues will be brought to light and there will be confrontation,” he told DAILY TRIBUNE in an exclusive interview during New World Makati’s recent launch of its new Lunar New Year menu at its luxury Chinese dining concept Jasmine.

“It’s a yang fire horse. There are five elements: water, wood, fire, earth and metal. This year is going to be fire. So yang fire, what that means is it’s going to be a year of intensity, creativity, innovation,” he explained.

Already 29 years into the practice, Fernandez clarified what his profession as geomancer means: “’Geo’ is earth. ‘Mancy’ has to do with foretelling or reading into the energies. ‘Geomancy’ is the generic term in the Western world. If you translate that into Chinese, it’s feng shui.”

Will there be justice?

Since this is supposedly the “year of illumination,” will justice be served this year for crimes like “Floodgate” and “Pizzagate”?

“Again, it’s going to be a year of illumination, so all issues will be brought to light about for the upcoming year,” Fernandez said.

Love luck 

“So the signs of the Ox, the Snake, the Rooster and the Goat. Those are the ones who are going to be luckier in relationships,” he declared.

Beware of burnout

Fernandez also reminded everyone to take care of their health. 

“Because the horse, it’s fast moving, so independent, meaning, people who tend to do things on their own versus waiting for other people to go with them, so it’s going to be a little bit more unilateral and then we put that together, the umpire horse is going to be a lot of very energetic, more like sprints rather than a marathon. Short bursts of energy versus long. So that means there’s also a risk of burnout,” he warned.

“Watch out for your health. So if you know that you might be challenged in those areas, you do the necessary preparations like work to become healthier and also save money for health. The feng shui sign for health is the northwest, don’t put anything red there because it’s going to increase the energy.”

Good year to travel?

“For certain signs. So the Monkey, the Horse, the Ox. They’re good for travel,” he declared.
