PT&T Corp. has appointed Jeffrey E. Julian as acting president effective 15 February, following the resignation of Angel S. Mercado for personal reasons.
Julian, who currently serves as vice president and chief technical officer, will retain those positions while acting as president until a permanent chief executive is selected or until the annual stockholders’ meeting on 26 June.
Since joining PT&T in June 2019, Julian has overseen the company’s technical operations, leading innovation initiatives and end-to-end project delivery.
He also spearheaded a network modernization program that upgraded the company’s backbone with 156 kilometers of cable, equivalent to more than 8,000 fiber kilometers of capacity.
Incorporated in 1962, PT&T provides telecommunications services to corporate clients, small and medium enterprises and residential subscribers.
The company is preparing to resume trading on the Philippine Stock Exchange after a voluntary suspension in December 2004 due to financial and reporting challenges.
