Towa Bird lands the February 2026 cover of Vogue Philippines, and yes, it’s a very, very good look.
The British-Filipino singer, songwriter, and guitarist fronts the magazine’s love-themed issue as she gears up for her sophomore album. At 26, Bird—nicknamed “Grandpa Bird” by fans—talks about representation, fashion, and why simply showing up as herself still carries weight. “Just me existing is a tiny act of rebellion,” she says in the issue.
The cover shoot, photographed by Richie Talboy in Los Angeles and styled by Humberto Leon, puts Bird in sharp, playful fashion from Miu Miu, Peter Do, and Jean Paul Gaultier, alongside Mark Wilon and Kelvin Morales. It’s fashion-forward without feeling precious, letting Bird’s personality do most of the talking.
Inside, Vogue Philippines explores love as something lived, built, and practiced. The issue features people whose work and lives focus on connection, including Mabolo Flower Shop siblings Antonio and Gema Garcia, chefs Jayjay and Rhea Sycip, partners Chito Vijandre and Ricky Toledo, historian Ambeth Ocampo, and creative director Paloma Urquijo.
Also featured: photographer Alexi Lubomirski’s “Love Project,” a portrait series centered on intimacy; Nicomede Talavera’s return with Episode Seven, debuting womenswear; and artist Patrick Cabral on building a practice through paper and process. The issue also touches on feminist art in the Philippines and finding humor in life’s messier moments with Atsuko Okatsuka. Plus: Imelda Cajipe Endaya, Brenda Fajardo, Kasibulan, and the making of feminist art in the Philippines.
The February 2026 issue of Vogue Philippines is now available on newsstands and digital platforms.
