Northern Police District (NPD) operatives arrested three men wanted for various crimes, including qualified theft and child abuse, in a series of manhunt operations across the district.
On Wednesday afternoon, police in Malabon City apprehended a 37-year-old man tagged as a most wanted person in Barangay Catmon. The suspect was arrested under a 2018 warrant for qualified theft issued by the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 30 for the service of a sentence.
In a separate operation Wednesday evening, Tala Police Sub-Station 14 personnel arrested a 28-year-old construction worker in Barangay 185, Caloocan City.
The suspect is accused of violating the New Anti-Carnapping Law. The arrest followed a warrant issued 5 January by a Las Piñas City court, which set bail at P300,000.
Early Thursday morning, NPD warrant officers arrested a 62-year-old man in Valenzuela City for acts of lasciviousness involving a minor. The suspect was apprehended under a warrant issued 23 January by the Valenzuela City Family Court Branch 16. His bail was recommended at P360,000.
The three suspects are currently detained at their respective police stations pending the return of their warrants to the issuing courts.
